The realm starts empty. Each actual Head of House creates their own House, becomes its first roster member automatically, and then invites members to join. Land, forces and official status are handled separately.

Recognition requirements govern whether a House becomes official. They do not decide whether a House is allowed to exist in the selected timeline: Houses from every ASOIAF era remain permitted.

Roster membership is now taken from the authoritative website/Discord membership ledger. Do not inflate counts manually.
