Why this version cannot drift

Map tiles and every overlay use the same 8192 × 8192 Web Mercator grid. Pins retain one permanent X/Y anchor. Zoom only changes the SVG viewBox; text is redrawn as vector text at the new scale.

Coverage note

Positions match the public Quartermaester dataset. That source itself notes that some locations are estimates or contradicted by later published maps.
